Troy Hawke: Tiles of the Unexpected – Fringe World 2020

2019 Fringe World Best Comedy Weekly Winner, Troy Hawke returns to Perth with his new show, Tiles of the Unexpected.

Troy is always on a quest to understand the simplest of things and shares his own conspiracy theories – including the Scrabble theory. Last year, our favourite 1930’s throwback investigator exposed Aldi’s links to the Illuminati. Now he is back in Perth to entertain Fringe World audiences with his exposé on Swedish furniture giant Ikea!

Troy Hawke was a total sellout in Perth and Edinburgh in 2019 so don’t miss out on your chance to see him!

“I promise it will be a highlight of your Fringe” ★★★★★ VoiceMag, 2019.
“The audience were absolutely beside themselves and I promise it will be a highlight of your fringe” ★★★★★ Voice Mag.

You can catch Troy Hawke at the Brass Monkey Hotel in Northbridge at 7pm each night from 2-16 February. Tickets are available from the Fringe World website.

Lou Conran: Maybe Baby – Fringe World 2020

Lou Conran makes her Perth debut at Fringe World 2020 with her new show Maybe Baby. She tells us the tragic true story of losing her daughter five months into her pregnancy and brings light and humour to this taboo subject.

Lou opens up a conversation about her experience and puts a cheeky spin on the events leading up to the loss, all while delivering a powerfully emotive, yet hilarious show. She feels the most important thing is that the audience are encouraged to relax and have a laugh. “Baby loss is something which so many experience and we need to talk about it, to acknowledge those babies,” she says. “Comedy can make things more accessible. If you can ease people in with a laugh, you can say more. You have them listening.”

“Don’t be deterred, for she has deftly navigated a way through the sensitive subject, finding the funny” ★★★★ Chortle.

“A must see!” ★★★★ Fest Magazine

Lou is performing at the Brass Monkey Hotel in Northbridge at 5.45pm each night from 2-16 February (except 5 & 12). Tickets are available from the Fringe World website.

Dan Willis: Australia, A Whinging Pom’s Guide

After a sell-out success at Perth Fringe World 2019, Dan Willis is coming back to Perth for one more show!

A Whinging Pom’s Guide is an insight into the funny side of Australia – through the eyes of a pom. Dan Willis shares his hilarious take on the weather, our fantastic sayings, the size of our spiders and of course, how well (or not) we are doing in the cricket! Prepare for side-splitting laughs every minute as he delves into Australian culture and compares it to English traditions. This show is enjoyed by Australian and English audiences alike!

‘Unpretentious, informal, belly laughs a minute stand-up. ★★★★’ ThreeWeeks (UK)
’55 minutes of side-splitting laughter. ★★★★★’ Plains Producer
