Quirky Events presents a guided tasting and dinner at Bright Tank Brewing Co. on 26 October.
This one-of-kind dinner offers you the chance to be guided through a tasting of Bright Tank’s signature beers, presented by the brewer. You will also receive a TEKU (300ml) beer of your choice to enjoy while you partake in a two course dinner featuring dishes created to compliment the beers.
PLUS -> SURPRISE TASTING!!!!!
I have secured a chance for you to be one of the first to taste Bright Tank’s new, not-yet-released experimental beer! I am not allowed to tell you what it is, but I can share that it has been brewed in collaboration with another legendary local brewery.
In order to provide an exclusive experience, tickets are strictly limited and must be purchased by 19 October.
Tickets can be purchased here or you can view the event on Facebook.
Friday’s whiskey tour and tasting was the first in a series of premium liquor experiences presented by Quirky Events. Whipper Snapper is a small-batch urban distillery located in East Perth. They produce Australia’s first moonshine and are trend-setters in local whiskey production.
Upon arrival at the distillery, guests were greeted by Barry who presented them with a Crazy Apple Jack; a cocktail containing a refreshing mix of Crazy Uncle Moonshine and cold pressed apple juice. Everyone then enjoyed a pre-tour beer and met the other tour participants.
Barry, the distillery operator and our guide for the night, showed everyone around the distillery. We were given a tour of the machinery and the process of milling and fermenting the grains, before being shown the still and given a sample of Crazy Uncle Moonshine, their signature product.
Barry then took us to view the Southern American White Oak barrels where the spirit matures and develops its unique flavour. This was followed by tastings of the barrel-aged moonshine and Upshot Whiskey.
The next stop on the tour was the bottling room where we were shown how the bottles are labelled and capped. This was followed by a quick Q&A session.
After the tour concluded, guests who wished to could sample further products in the tasting room. This included Babooshka American Style Barleywine and whiskey honey. Bottles were available for purchase to take home and enjoy.
The night then ended with a few casual beers and some cheese and meat platters for everyone to enjoy.
The next Quirky Events experience is in the works and will be announced soon! Follow me on Facebook and Instagram for more fun things to do in Perth.
I have always had an interest in large events and festivals. I am drawn to the atmosphere and the good vibes – everyone is there to have a good time. This, I find is unique when compared to other areas of life. I feel it is important to enjoy life; and I make it my personal mission to do so. By creating awesomely amazing events, I can share my good vibes with you!
Quirky Events comes from my dream to produce unique and fun social events and it is my passion to one day manage my own festivals. I started Quirky Events as an outlet to run my own smaller social events while I build up to that. My background in hospitality management has given me my drive to always produce an excellent customer experience.
I also do PR, online marketing and event management for local bands, and had an involvement in Fringe Festival this year. I have also planned and styled private events including engagement parties, bridal showers and milestone birthdays.
