Staying in Perth for the Easter Long Weekend?

It feels like everyone goes away for the annual four day break, but why would you when there is so much fun stuff happening in Perth over Easter? And it’s not all about the kiddies – here are some things for the adults to enjoy.

All weekend: 19 – 22 April

While this is technically a family event, it is good fun for all ages – – -> PLUS there are pop-up bars on the street for when you need to kick back with an adult refreshment. The main streets in the centre of Freo are transformed into an open-air street theatre featuring buskers from around the world.

Good Friday: 19 April

Good Friday Raceday @ Ascot

The conclusion of the 2019 Autumn Racing Carnival is celebrated well with a free entry raceday on Good Friday. Enjoy live music, visit the bars and eat too much from their large selection of food trucks.

Does it even need to be said that there is a footy game on? In a first for Perth, Optus Stadium and The Camfield are both able to serve drinks on Good Friday without the purchase of a meal.

Perth Fringe World 2019

Myself and Adam at the Fringe World Awards

This year I ran the front of house for Adam Hall’s series of events at Fringe World 2019. Not only did two events get nominated for the Music and Musicals Award, but we won it for the Great American Songbook! Huge congratulations to the massively talented musicians Adam Hall, Adrian Galante and Bronton Ainsworth, and thanks to The Sewing Room for being such an accommodating venue. Once again Maree Laffan provided us with her exceptional photography skills and Greg Hall and Kylie Stirk assisted with putting together the sets. It was a crazy experience, but definitely a lot of fun! We will be working together again for Fringe 2020!
